In TU there are so many fun events to attend to throughout the whole year. These events are mainly conducted by the different student organizations on campus coupled with the aid from of course, the Trinity University. The events vary from Hallympics to Navarathri celebrations. Hallympics is where residents from different halls compete against each other representing their halls. This is a fun event to go to as there are so many games to participate in or to cheer for which is a lot of fun. Navarathri celebrations is a Hindu festival. The occasion will provide you with music, food and lights. Something is happening every week. Also one of the main TU events is the NSO programme or the New Student Orientation programme. Every incoming freshman has to participate in this event which is filled with great activities to participate in. It is very likely that you will meet a lot of new friends through this event.
My favorites till now were the ice cream parties and the pool parties. The best part about these events is that you will most probably get free food most of the time which has been made by students or staff at Trinity University. The food is great. You will also get the chance to meet with new friends from different classes because everyone participates in these to enjoy, to relax and most importantly to have a good time.

Living with a group of American students.

It has been one and a half months since I came to Trinity, but it just seem like a couple of weeks. Why? Because you are living with a group of amazing American students. Time literally races by when you are enjoying life but during tough times, seconds seem minutes long, minutes seem hours long.
So why is it enjoyable to to live with a group of American students? Below is my list, suit yourselves:
  1. Because they wake up very late, especially during the weekends. - Now back home if this happened, there is a very high probability that mom will soak you with a bucket of water.
  2. Because they watch a lot of movies - When I say a lot, I mean it! You just name it, and they have watched it or will be going to watch it over the weekend. Now back home, the movie has to win an Oscar or it better be really good.(These criteria have to be met at least in my case)
  3. Because they start writing their papers a day before the papers are due - Now I am not the biggest fan of this but it does not also mean that I don't do it once in a blue moon. But it is really enjoyable to see how they stay up all night with the help of two three cups of coffee and try to finish it.
  4. Because most of them do not like morning classes - This is my favorite. I thoroughly enjoy seeing some of them dozing off in the class. It is fun to watch!Back home if this happened, even in my high school, pack your bag and come with your parents the next day!
  5. Finally because they are such nice people to hang out with - By no means does this imply that back home you don't meet nice people. But it is exceptionally difficult to find them when you are in a whole different world, to be more specific, when you are in the most powerful world.
